AWIEF (Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum) Announces the 2023 AWIEF Awards Finalists

The finalists for the 2023 African Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) Awards have been announced, showcasing the achievements and contributions of outstanding women founders and business leaders from across the African continent. These finalists represent a diverse range of sectors and come from 14 different African countries, highlighting the thriving landscape of female entrepreneurship and business leadership in Africa.

The AWIEF Awards recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of women entrepreneurs who are driving inclusive economic growth in their respective sectors and countries. The awards will be presented across eight categories, including Young Entrepreneur, Tech Entrepreneur, Agri Entrepreneur, Energy Entrepreneur, Creative Industry, Social Entrepreneur, Empowerment, and Lifetime Achievement.

The finalists include remarkable women who have made significant contributions to fields such as technology, agriculture, energy, and the creative industry. They have demonstrated innovation, leadership, and a commitment to addressing social issues through their businesses and initiatives.

The winners of the 2023 AWIEF Awards will be announced and celebrated at a special ceremony and gala dinner during the AWIEF2023 Conference and Awards event, scheduled to take place on November 9 and 10 at the Kigali Convention Centre in Kigali, Rwanda.

AWIEF founder and CEO Irene Ochem expressed her admiration for the high caliber of nominations received this year and emphasized the importance of recognizing the achievements of these women entrepreneurs in contributing to Africa’s economic growth.

The AWIEF Awards provide a platform to showcase the inspiring stories and achievements of women who are making a positive impact on their communities and the continent as a whole. These women serve as role models and trailblazers for aspiring entrepreneurs across Africa.
