Bus Éireann is Hosting Open Days for Women Drivers in Cork, Limerick, and Waterford

Bus Éireann is actively seeking female drivers and is hosting an open day this weekend for those interested in pursuing a career behind the wheel. The company is aiming to increase the representation of female drivers and supervisors by 10% over the next six years. The event, scheduled for Sunday, March 24, will provide an opportunity for women to interact with current female drivers and experience driving firsthand.

The position offers competitive pay, starting at €618 per week and increasing to €775 with potential to reach €898.22 after seven years of service. Full-time drivers are guaranteed 39 hours per week and are entitled to benefits such as a pension, GP scheme, travel scheme, and recognition awards for long service and safe driving. Bus Éireann is also facilitating the transition for individuals holding regular driving licences (B licences) to become bus drivers (D licences), with training provided as part of the job.

Sporting legend Anna Geary, who is supporting the recruitment campaign, encourages interested individuals to attend their local open day on Sunday. She emphasizes the opportunity for meaningful career advancement and urges potential candidates to take advantage of the event for further information and guidance.

The open days will take place at various locations nationwide from 10am to 3pm on March 24, 2024.
