Hannah Ingram-Moore, the Daughter of Captain Tom Moore, Who is Allegedly Paid For a Charitable Event

Hannah Ingram-Moore, the daughter of the late Captain Sir Tom Moore, is facing allegations that she was paid thousands of pounds for appearances related to her father’s charity, the Captain Tom Foundation. According to a report by BBC Newsnight, Ingram-Moore made appearances at events connected to the charity, including the Virgin Media O2 Captain Tom Foundation Connector Awards, and received appearance fees that were paid to a company owned by her and her husband rather than directly to the charity.

At the time of these appearances, Ingram-Moore was the charity’s interim chief executive and was earning a salary of £85,000. The issue has raised concerns about conflicts of interest and financial arrangements within the charity. The charity’s trustees are investigating the matter, and the Charity Commission is also conducting an ongoing inquiry into the Captain Tom Foundation.

Ingram-Moore’s response to the allegations has been mixed, initially dismissing them as a “total lie” in an email to the BBC but later clarifying that her reply was intended for a scammer. She did not address questions about the payments received by her company.

Hannah Ingram-Moore played a significant role in the Captain Tom Foundation and helped set up the charity after her father’s passing. She has also been involved in various business ventures and is described as a successful businesswoman, coach, and advocate for gender equality in business.
